My Story

There was a time in my life that I was you!

I started out just like you -  stuck, frustrated, scared. I felt that I had lost control and needed so badly to reclaim my life again but I was lost and didn’t know how.

You can find out about some of my struggles with anxiety, panic attacks, worry and how I overcame them with clinical hypnosis on my anxiety and stop smoking pages. You will see how I used intentional clinical hypnosis sessions as a tool to overcome my obstacles and I hope it will give you hope and the knowledge that you too can get past challenges you might be grappling with now.

  • Is Hypnosis Dangerous?
    No, hypnosis is not dangerous. The use of hypnosis was recognized by the American Medical Association in 1958. Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility that individuals enter willingly. During hypnotherapy, the individual remains in control, and the process is collaborative. It is essential to note that hypnosis cannot make individuals do anything against their will or ethical beliefs. The only potential danger arises when engaged in activities like driving or operating machinery, making it advisable not to listen to hypnosis audio products or get hypnotized during such situations.
  • Will I Lose Control During Hypnosis?
    No, you will not lose control during hypnosis. Hypnosis is a collaborative and voluntary process, and you will remain aware and in control of your actions. It is a natural state of focused attention, similar to being engrossed in a book or daydreaming, where you can choose to follow the suggestions provided by the hypnotherapist. It's important to understand that hypnosis cannot make you do anything against your will or ethical principles. You cannot be made to tell secrets while experiencing hypnosis. The hypnotherapist serves as a guide, and you can choose to accept or reject the suggestions based on your comfort and alignment with your goals.
  • Will I Fall Asleep during hypnosis?
    No. Hypnosis induces a heightened state of focused awareness, similar to being deeply engrossed in thought or daydreaming. While you may feel deeply relaxed, your mind remains actively engaged and receptive to the hypnotherapist's suggestions. The goal is to maintain a state of concentration, allowing you to explore and address specific concerns or goals. If you were to fall asleep, the effectiveness of the hypnotherapy session could be compromised, so the intention is to keep you in a state of heightened suggestibility and awareness. You may feel relaxed as a result of hypnosis but during my hypnosis sessions my clients stay fully awake.
  • What Does Being Hypnotized Feel Like?
    The experience of hypnosis is highly individualized, and it can vary not only between individuals but also for the same person across different hypnosis sessions. For some individuals, hypnosis may feel like a profound sense of relaxation, with a calm and serene mental state. Others might describe it as a heightened state of concentration, akin to being deeply absorbed in a captivating activity. The feelings of warmth, comfort, and tranquility are commonly reported. Others still might not feel anything different. It's noteworthy that even the same individual can have diverse experiences during different hypnosis sessions. These experiences are all normal.
